When we brought our boy home as a two-month-old, he was officially named "Simon". We knew that wasn't right, but it took a couple weeks to agree on Galen. (The wife has always had cats named for philosophers. I originally thought Edmund Hillary would be a good name as he instantly demonstrated his climbing ability.)
