It's not that bad for most groups. It generally requires the sort of attention needed to balance a checkbook (which skill is apparently in decline - my late-20-something cow-orker blinked incomprehensibly at me when I raised the term) and a certain amount of follow-through. Plus willingness to ask for help when needed.

Then there's the group I referenced, whose solution was to fake the numbers and hope no one noticed.
