I think it would be an interesting sudy to see how perceptions change based on the context in which the participants know each other. i.e. local friends compared to those who only know each other from SCA events or LJ posts. (Although I've known you for over a decade, I've only ever seen you at events so SCA and your heraldic observations are the only available field of reference.)
And its kind of annoying that they ony allow 6 choices. With mine, I started with about 15 and had to pare it down from there.
