I adore caramels

They've always been one of my favorite candies. I had to give up some things (like bubblegum and whistling) for the eight years I had braces, but not caramels (the trick is to suck on them until they disintegrate, without chewing). Theoretically it must be possible to get caramels in the Netherlands, because I've seen recipes for carameled apples, but I haven't yet been able to find any.

So here's a big thank you to tedeisenstein for bringing me caramels -- three bags of them. I've just had two. And now I'll exercise all my willpower not to eat the rest of the open bag, since ostensibly I asked him to bring them because it's apple season and I really want to have carameled apples.
