musings on married life

So, as of today I've now been married for two years. This last year (I still think of 'year' as 'academic year', with summers as some sort of no man's land) has been very different from the previous three (one of marriage, two of just dating). ( Read more... )

Today I walked up to the library to make some photocopies, and in the canal next to the horticultural gardens I passed the smallest cootling I've ever seen. It couldn't have been more than 2-3 inches, and it was all fluffy with a bright red head, bobbling along after its mother. I only saw the one - I wonder if it had just recently hatched. It was pretty cute.
