We dug our bikes out today (first time this year!) to bike over to the Gerrrit Rietveld Academie to see all of the art which we didn't have time to see on Thursday. It's roughly 7 miles away, but biking in Amsterdam is such a joy, compared to Madison. It's flat! You might have a little bit of a rise going up a bridge, but I hardly had to shift at all. The brick bike paths do make for slightly jarring riding, but I'd rather have that than hills any day of the week.
And I'm pleased that after 14 miles of riding (it was about 45 min. each way), my legs aren't complaining hardly at all. I'm just really tired, but not sore or stiff. The running, even though it's been rather sporadic, must be paying off some. But *yawn* I'm tired. Just wanna curl up with a book and a cat.
