punctuation is important
Jul. 14th, 2006 03:56 pmI recently printed off three-articles from a digital archive of a journal. I got about two paragraphs into the first one before I figured out what was bugging me about them - all the periods, dashes, and semi-colons are missing, though the commas are still present.
The capitalization of the first word of a sentence combined with the slightly bigger gap between words means that this is still readable, but I'm going through it pen in hand adding a period whenever I come to a gap where there should be one, so that hopefully next time through these articles won't be so difficult.
