random facts about me
Dec. 4th, 2006 11:23 pmat least one of which will probably be new to everyone who reads this journal, except for my mom, who already knows everything about me that I'd be willing to say in public. :)
This is all
eliskimo's fault:
RULES: Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks.
(1) I don't like potatoes. Never have, almost certainly never will.
(2) I don't generally put milk on dry cereal. Sogginess = bad.
(3) When I was younger, I wanted to be mailman, for two reasons: One, to see all the stamps; two, to see all the names. (Yes, even as a pre-teen I was fixated on names).
(4) With some exceptions, my preferences for animals (in the broad sense of the term) go by number of legs: Snakes, no legs = really cool. People, 2 legs = usually pretty good. Cats, four legs = the exception. They're often better than people. Butterflies/grasshoppers, six legs = nice when they're not crawling on me. Spiders, eight legs = unpleasant. Centipedes and millipedes = stay the heck away from me!
(5) I happen to like being Mrs. Joel Uckelman, and I don't care what the feminists say.
(6) I was in eighth grade when I decided I wanted to be a teacher. That hasn't changed, though the subject matter and the age group has.
(7) A good way to keep me occupied and happy all day long? Give me a set of shelf-list cards to sort and interfile.
(8) I love maps. Modern maps, medieval maps, any maps.
(9) My parents didn't give me a middle name when I was born. They gave me Liana when I was four or five.
(10) My parents didn't give me a middle name when I was born. So when I was four or five, I picked one for myself. I thought Sara Flower Fairy Friedemann was the most beautiful name in the world. My parents didn't. See #9 above. :)
Eh, I won't tag anybody - feel free to repost this if you want, but don't feel obliged.
