I've made it a week. And in less than week (Monday evening to be precise) I'll be stepping of the train at Paris Nord into the arms of my husband. Best part is, completely by accident the week I planned to visit him in Paris turns out to be the week that Université Dauphine (which is where he's working) is having their mid-semester break. So the guys he's in Paris to work with won't be around, and that means we'll have plenty to time to cook and go out to eat and sight-see. Every evening, usually around dinner time, we chat on IM and he tells me about all the good food that he's bought/made/seen at the grocery store/had at a restaurant or cafe. It's making me anxious. :)

And in the meantime I have been going to bed at a reasonable hour and cooking regularly, though the dishes are beginning to pile up a bit... I've always watched an amazing amount of mediocre TV (it seems like all the National Geo has on in the evenings is (a) shows about early humans and (b) shows about prisons. And who knew that channel 26 was Nickelodean before 8pm and The Comeday Channel after?) as I work on my sewing project (which is taking WAAAAYYYY longer than I thought it would, but is at least turning out somewhat like I envisioned it, which is more than I can say about most things I sew, other than the one pattern of skirt that I've done over and over again). On the upside, I did finally get to see the season finale of "Torchwood" tonight, which I had completely missed the first time around because I was so used to it being on Wednesdays that by the time I remembered it was showing on Friday, it was about two hours too late.

Maybe I'll go wash some dishes before returning to the bad TV and my sewing.
