(though not as late as the date-stamp of this post makes it seems; my computer is on GMT+1, and I'm on GMT).

Had a great night at the food workshop (fabulous food, and enough for to have seconds), and then beer at the pub by Weetwood with [livejournal.com profile] jpgsawyer and Caroline, and then more beer for them and a pot of tea for me, and then back to Boddington Hall where [livejournal.com profile] jpgsawyer and I discovered that on Wednesdays the pub there is open until 2:30 am so more beer for him and a Kopparberg (perry) for me. It occurred to me that it's been about a year and a half since I last saw him, something which I must definitely prevent from happening again. You must come to Amsterdam, [livejournal.com profile] jpgsawyer, you must!

So I'm wondering by now if attendance at that 9am session is going to happen. On the other hand, breakfast ends at 9am so if I want food I have to get up for that. Things end the middle of this afternoon, so I can always come back then for a nap. But definitely bedtime now.

After my talk last night, one of the audience members informed me that Oxbow's stand had a number of volumes of Paul of Venice's Logica Magna marked down cheaply. I checked it out this morning and came away with four volumes I didn't yet have, for 32 pounds. I'm going to regret this walking out to the bus stop tomorrow...

See, this is why I don't want to pay for overpriced meals when I know I can make do on much less. If I don't spend the money on food, I can buy books instead!

Even with the late night I still managed to stumble out of bed in time to get breakfast before attending the 9am session (on necessity and natural philosophy in Thomism). The second morning session I attended was on economics in eastern Europe, and upon the conclusion of that I can proudly say that I attended a complete session for every slot in the schedule with the exception of skipping the opening plenary talks. Pretty exhausting! I'm rather glad that things are finished here now and I can relax (and probably nap!) the rest of the day before catching the train to Winchester tomorrow.
