a.k.a., more stress than I needed this afternoon.

In attempting to answer a question Benedikt had raised on one of my chapters, I added a Greek word to my dissertation, using the babel package and \greektext command as I usually do when adding Greek words to LaTeX files. Imagine my, first amusement, then consternation, when I compiled the file and found out I'd turned everything into Greek font -- and then couldn't get it changed back, even when I'd reverted everything in the file to how it had been before I added the commands invoking Greek. It took Joel and me nearly three hours to figure out where the problem was coming from and what to do to fix it.

But, thankfully, my dissertation is now back in the Roman alphabet.
