Oh, one other thing about last night's conference dinner that I forgot to mention. Looks like I'll probably be organizing both ESMSL and AiML in 2014, as co-located events. :) This is one way of getting more history of modal logic at AiML, and hopefully also more connection between the medievalists and the modernists! I wonder if I should change my idea about the topic for ESMLS; I'd been thinking of doing multi-agent systems (dialogical, debate, disputation, etc.), but in order to make a strong connection with AiML, the natural topic would be modalities. I can't remember when modalities was last the topic at ESMLS; perhaps never.
