The illumination was done by mbroidress; it is based on a grant of Elizabeth I. I did the calligraphy (the text is based on a number of 15th C grants of arms found at http://verysleepy.itgo.com/grants.htm) the day of the event. It took me about 2.5 hours, maybe a little less. About 1/3 of the way through, I realized I had way more text than I had space, and so I had to start omitting phrases as I went, but the result still flows nicely, and I'm tickled that I was able to get the text to fit the space exactly.

The scan doesn't show the full image; there is another 5cm of blank perg below the signatures, awaiting the addition of seals.
