that horrible sinking feeling

I'm about to embark on 11 days of travel through 4 cities and 2 countries (or 5 and 3 if you count that I'm flying home from Genoa via London), and I'm sitting here trying to figure out what it is that I've forgotten to pack.

I went to Pennsic for 21 years, and had a full, complete, and utterly perfect packing list by the eighth year.

...and yet I always worried about what I forgot to pack. Somehow, the knowledge that whatever I've left behind can be replaced at wherever I've gone to doesn't help any. Funny, that.

(Well, except one's mind. If you leave that behind, it's kind of hard to replace easily. Trust me on this.)
