Today is one of the rare sunny days in Amsterdam winters. Slinky is sound asleep on her table in front of the window, and Widget is asleep on the couch. Earlier today, he was on the back of the couch chasing his tail. Proportionally, his tail is about an inch longer than most cat tails, so he can catch it with ease. It's great fun.

Bread recipes never take as little time as they say they will. But even so, the olive bread I spent all afternoon yesterday working on sporadically was well worth the extra time. It finished right before supper time so we ate 3/4 of the loaf and then I just made a half-size pizza for supper.

It's been five and a half years today since Joel responded "We could be" to my question "Well, are we a couple?" when he asked me to dance in the couple's dance at a mutual friend's wedding. We could be, and we have been ever since.

Me? I was mainly just hanging out, and buying yet another floor inkle loom -- this one is large enough to hold 9 yards of warp, enough for even my most ambitious planned project.) (At least we had a great dinner at Tony Packo's, in Toledo, on the way home.)
