As the Olympics progress, it's getting more, and not less, weird that every time a Brit wins, they play "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" at the medals ceremony.

They made us sing the first verse of 'God Save the Queen' at the end of my citizenship ceremony. I decided to be good and actually sing that song and not 'My Country 'Tis of Thee'. (The whole thing was horribly surreal anyway and luis_mw was trying hard not to giggle the entire time. ;)
