I just saw Joel off to the airport; he's heading to Liverpool. Thursday morning I head to London; we meet up there Friday evening. Monday we go to Oxford, and then to Stratford. Tuesday we both take the train back to London and then he goes home while I go to Nancy. I come back to Amsterdam Friday the 12th; Joel leaves for Sidney Saturday the 13th. He gets back the 23rd. We did have dental appointments scheduled for the 24th, but a week ago our dentist called to reschedule for the 1st, and then Saturday the 4th through Tuesday the 7th we'll be in Prague.

Oh, yes!! I was just thinking during lunch today "Hey, I haven't seen belmikey's name on the reservation list, I hope that they're still planning to come."

I've read a couple of reviews of the Hamlet production, and they've all been extremely positive. I'm getting giddy just thinking about it!

The reservation's under Pixel's name. She's made most of the arrangements for the trip.

Yeah, I've read some of the notices, too. I'm glad that it's going to be more than just "fanboy" good, if you know what I mean :-D

I do. I would've been perfectly happy if it was just "fanboy" good (to be honest, I don't know if I've ever had a school-girl crush on an actor like I have on David Tennant...), but one review was saying things along the lines of "we can't really say 'best Hamlet ever' since there are still Hamlets to come in the future, but we feel pretty comfortable saying Tennant is 'best Hamlet so far'." Which is pretty exciting.

I agree the concept of the Manic Mr Tenant as Hamlet is just drool inspiring!

Any recommendations? Neither of us have ever been there. We're going 'cause I have a conference, but we're going a day early and coming back half a day late, so we have some time to sight-see. So far, I have a recommendation for a restaurant called "David's" which is "underneath the castle". Which automatically gives me a second recommendation, namely, the castle. :)

D'oh! I just wrote you a long reply and then accidentally hit the "back" button on my compter and lost it! I'll try again in a bit.

Right now I'll just say that Prague Castle is HUGE and you probably couldn't see it all in a day and half anyway. Parts of it are also working government offices, so those are off limits. However, there is usually some kind of art exhibit going on in one or more halls, so might check that out see if something of interest or not.

Also you have to experience the vendors, artists and musicians on Charles Bridge.
