survival, day 36
May. 11th, 2008 09:46 amToday Joel heads from Paris to Portugal. The first leg (which was also the longest) of his being away is over! And Friday I get to join him in Estoril for 4 days. I certainly haven't lacked for occupation here lately, what with
ctseawa's visit, and then meeting up with
wolverine_nun's husband, and then Ælfwynn arrived Thursday night (her train was delayed by an hour!) and is staying until tomorrow morning. (We spent Friday evening cooking Korean food, which merits a post on its own in the near future. Yum! I'd never had Korean food before). But loneliness is beginning to catch up to me again...even though I've been married nearly four years, my sub-conscious doesn't seem to have completely picked up on this fact because not infrequently when I'm dreaming, I know I'm married, but I cannot remember to whom. (Thankfully, after I rack my brains and finally figure out the answer, the result is always surprised happiness. "Him? Cool!!") Last night in my dreams, I couldn't even remember that I was married...Yup, definitely want to have my husband back home soon.
Today's activities involve making another batch of cheese, and I just noticed that one of the Indiana Jones movies will be playing on TV. We might just have to veg out and watch that in the evening.
