It still doesn't feel real

In less than 48 hours I leave for Pennsic. It still doesn't feel like this is really happening -- partly because I can't feel like I'm really going to go camping for a week in the US in medieval guise when the only things I'm bringing with are clothes and books.
I'm sure it will seem a lot more real when I start packing in earnest tomorrow night.
For some reason, I thought I was flying out on Wednesday and flying back on Wednesday (i.e., arriving home on Thursday the 6th), but I see that that's not the case -- I'm actually flying back Thursday, and arriving home on Friday. Given that, I'm not sure my most recent action was an entirely sane thing to do, but I'm not going to pass up an opportunity to see the Crüxshadows when they're playing in Utrecht that evening. So I've just purchased tickets, for both Joel and me (yay, he wants to come with! I'm pleased that he shares this taste of music of mine). I'll just have to sleep lots on the plane so that I'm not too jet-lagged to enjoy the show.
