I've finally got two hours of downtime to chill (literally and figuratively) in my hotel room before dinner, and Joel isn't on IM for me to chat with. :( Haven't IMed with him since I left almost a week ago (though we've commented on each other's FB posts, isn't quite the same).

And while one of the three pairs of shoes I brought with has been in almost all respects perfect for lots of hot weather walking, they rub on my heels just a bit, and I have no bandaids. Which means that today I started favoring one of my feet while walking so that the raw skin didn't rub quite so much, and as a result I think I've tweaked a muscle around the achilles tendon, since my left ankle is currently a bit swollen, and more than a bit painful when I put a bit of pressure on that one spot. *growl* Let's hope sleeping tonight and the three hour train ride tomorrow give me enough time off my feet for the tweak to go away, since I've got two whole days for sight-seeing in Genoa, and will be making full use of them no matter what my feet say!

Hmmm. Two weeks ago, I don't recall there being anything up with our server, so not sure why I didn't get it.

But, to the important question, the answer is unfortunately no; I can't afford to go to KW on my own time, so I decided to go to Genoa instead. :)
