a good day is when

Gwen doesn't wake up before 6:00 and between midnight and 7:00pm she gets 10 hours of sleep (so that she gets ~14.5-15 total each day).
Today, she woke up at 7:30am. She then had a 2.5 hour morning nap. Her first afternoon nap has already lasted an hour.
*bliss*
I have no idea how long it will last, but I'm loving it for today! I don't know if this makes any difference, but her new mattress was delivered while we were in Leeds, and last night I swapped out the old one for the new one, and since we now have sheets that fit the mattress, I also removed the Moses basket mattress (which she had been sleeping on on top of the old mattress that came with the bed), and upgraded her blankets from receiving blankets to one of the quilts she got at Christmas, from my in-laws long-time neighbors down the street Clara and Dale. Maybe the new bed is more comfortable? Maybe it's just different? Either way, it's one more step to growing up. Next we'll have to lower the crib once she discovers how to pull herself up onto her feet, which I expect won't be too long from now...

Date: 2012-07-16 06:29 am (UTC)I expect, too, that lowering the crib will be imminent. Some morning I'm going to come in and find her standing up on the mattress, or I'll hear a thumb indicating that she's hauled herself over and fallen out. :) (Hopefully not the latter!)
