way too optimistic indeed
Aug. 3rd, 2012 11:57 amBut for all the wrong reasons.
This morning I woke up to a laptop that won't boot. Of course, it happens the day after Joel leaves for 10 days. And it also happened 2 days after our back-up server died. Which means that it didn't get backed up Wednesday night. Which means that the only place where I have written down his measurements for the shirt are on the laptop...inaccessible.
So, unless Joel can pull out a long-distance miracle, no new garb for him for Raglan, and very little work done by me at home for the next week or so. This morning I did finish hemming a dress of Gwen's that I'd started for Double Wars but didn't finish in time. Just have to enlarge the neckhole and put a facing in, and hem the sleeves. I should check to see if the neckhole on her green tunic is large enough still, or if I need to put in a slit. And I want to make a belt to go with the brown and maroon cotehardie too, so I have a few things I can continue working on (not to mention two scrolls to calligraph), but the lack of laptop is seriously disruptive.
