aryanhwyI happened to notice the other day that I created this account on 2005-11-25, eight years ago today. 1582 entries (not counting this one) later, I've certainly had a lot to say. I started this as something in lieu of sending out mass emails to friends/family updating them on our lives in Europe, and over the years it's become a place to rant, record amusing factoids, tell stories of our trips, post pictures, think, and, most recently, a baby book for Gwen.
I still occasionally write in my paper journal (which I've kept since I was 10), but that is generally for things which don't need to be shared with the world, or for things where I need the different act of thinking through via long-hand writing rather than typing. Recent years have gotten rather slim; I need to get in the habit of bringing my journal with me when I travel, since that's when I have the itch to write the most.
