today I am thankful for

- a job that allows me to wake up in the morning, go "Oh, God", and decide to work from home (i.e., take some NyQuil for a raging sore throat and go back to bed for 4 hours).
- a husband who, though still jetlagged himself, will respond to my "please, if I get Gwen up and dressed, will you take her out to daycare?" so I don't have to take said sore throat out into -5C weather, biking or not.
- a child who when I whispered into her sweetly soundly sleeping ear "Don't you want to get up and go to daycare?" turned on like a switch. "Yep", she said, sitting up, swinging her legs around, and getting out of bed. Yesterday when I dropped her off, she ran across the room to give a big hug to one of the teachers, and all the kids at the breakfast table saw her and started shouting "Gwennie, Gwennie, Gwennie!" When I picked her up, on the way out, another teacher stopped us and said it was really good to have Gwen back again. Yay.
