I adore my daughter

I love when I'm away traveling (at the Leeds Medieval Congress this week -- first time since 2012 and loving being back. Have utterly corrupted my twitter feed with obscure medievalist comments), because Joel's FB posts tend to feature Gwen at a much higher rate. I love seeing the side of her that is involved with her interactions with him. Today he posted:

In retrospect, "My mouth isn't even close to full!" was not the best reply when Gwen scolded me for talking with my mouth full at dinner.

We're doomed. If we are reduced to replies like this in negotiating rational discourse with our daughter, how will anyone else ever withstand her?

She will rule her world.

Part of my job is to help direct her in ways which maximizes her chance of doing so!
